We are looking forward to a summer packed with fun with events guaranteed to keep children busy each Saturday during the long school holidays.
There is a huge variety of things to be getting involved with, so book places early for the August events and make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun on offer.
The Vancouver Quarter Summer Holiday Club kicks-off on July 27 with our popular Mini Beast Adventure Day which sees a special trail to follow and the chance to create and decorate your own bug hotel.
Children will also have the chance to meet the mini beasts and learn all about them during the event. A special Mini Beast green screen photo shoot will also be available so you can have a great keepsake from the day.
There is no need to book places for this event which runs from 10am to 3pm – just drop in.
If martial arts are a bit more your thing, then book a place and join us and the Samurai Shotokan Karate School on August 9 for a free session.
It will be a great way for children to learn about Karate and have expert tuition in the art which could open the door to a whole new activity to become involved in.
All things Big Top will be coming on August 15 when there will be a Fun Circus Workshop where spinning plates and stilt walking will be part of the fun.
It’s a great chance to learn a variety of circus skills – including juggling – and the workshop is free but needs booking in advance.
There will be double fun on August 23 with a distinctly maritime theme running through two events which also need pre-booking.
At 10am, noon and 1pm, children can join Ariel for a masterclass in all things mermaid and learn about life Under The Sea.
Captain JJ and Tinkerbelle will also be in town for a magic masterclass with It’s a Pirates’ Life which will give everyone the chance to add a huge Yo Ho Ho to their day at 11am and 2pm. Eye patches are optional!
To round-off the month will be a Children’s Acting Masterclass which is free and will be run by Scott Cripps, who played Buttons in a recent production of Cinderella at the Corn Exchange in King’s Lynn. Actor Chris Dilly will also be on hand to offer tips and guidance on giving your best performance.
The Masterclass will also need booking in advance and, as with all the August workshops, keep an eye on our website and social media for the dates you can book each event.
