Last Saturday the Vancouver Quarter in King’s Lynn held a busy Mini Gardeners’ Club that celebrated the fun that gardens hold for kids.
The free family event was packed with children throughout Saturday when they planted a variety of fruit and vegetables to take home and watch develop over the coming weeks.
“Our Saturday clubs are incredibly popular and this was one of our favourites this year because it was all about nature and how things grow. The children were fascinated and we all had a great time,” said Events co-ordinator Susannah Rayner.
“It is also really nice to be able to spark an interest in the natural world at a young age and we all hope they all enjoy eating the results of their hard work,” she added.
The free drop-in session was held in Broad Street and was the latest in a range of popular events being organised by the shopping centre as part of it’s Saturday Clubs.
Next on the Vancouver Quarter calendar is a special Father’s Day event on Saturday 15 June from 10am to 3pm, which will also be free to attend.
