Children can show their love for their mum with two special events ahead of Mother’s Day in the heart of King’s Lynn town centre.
On Saturday 3 March, a week before Mothering Sunday, the Vancouver Quarter’s popular Saturday Club will return and see children create a special gift for their mum during the free family-fun workshop on Broad Street from 10am to 3pm.
On the same day, and back for its fourth consecutive year, the Vancouver Quarter will also host a Mother’s Day photoshoot from 10am to 4pm at 27 New Conduit Street, opposite Wilko, next to Costa Coffee.
Abbie Panks, Vancouver Quarter centre manager, said the pop up studio by Matthew Usher Photography was now fully booked but encouraged families to take part in the workshop on the same day.
“Our Mother’s Day workshop last year, which saw little hands getting busy with plant pots for their unique gifts, was incredibly well attended and was arguably our most popular workshops,” she said.
“We look forward to welcoming children of all ages who want to make something very special for their mum that can’t be bought and we hope their mothers enjoy receiving their carefully decorated gifts.”
As for the photoshoot, she added: “Every year this free Mother’s Day photoshoot proves a huge hit for families wanting to get together to celebrate their bond and for those who have booked, it’s a great opportunity for people to have their photo taken for free by a professional photographer.”
There are plenty of other free family-friendly events coming up in the Vancouver Quarter.
As well as the monthly Saturday Clubs, there will be Easter activities at the end of March, a Father’s Day workshop in June and July will see the return of the popular Bug Trail.
August will see the return of Fairytales and Legends before Halloween returns to King’s Lynn town centre in October and Santa’s grotto opens in the shopping centre towards the end of November.
